Old Man River
I've finally left Illinois.
Silly me I thought Des Moines was on the Mississippi so I was overcome with joy to find myself crossing the river much sooner than expected. Iowa however is one nasty short and squat little state. I should warn you that Interstate 80 takes a turn at Des Moines so if you happen to be singing along to the Soft Boy's I Wanna Destroy You at the top of you lungs while driving through this place of the monks you might find yourself headed to Kansas City.
